Per capita consumption of energy is the true measure of progress of civilization. The effects of the Industrial Revolution and the depredations of Colonization have ensured that such progress has been disproportionately applicable to the Western world. During the past few decades, biased reports on the causes of Climate change and Global warming have been used to deny the developing world equity in use of energy. It is therefore necessary for us to recognize the true reasons for Climate changes and work to mitigate their effects or adjust to them. Blaming human activity for all of it is unreasonable.
