Summary:

Privacy is what everyone seeks even as one also, wants to share or search for or access information from various platforms, portals or on-line sites. Media and various NGO’s, for their own vested or financial interests, have made a major issue of the possibility of loss of privacy of one’s data from such platforms, portals or on-line sites and seek to put impractical restrictions on them. We therefore need to understand the trade-off between the benefits from using such platforms, portals or on-line sites at the least cost possible and the risks we might incur from doing so, . After all would we really want to do without the benefits of even more such services in future?
