Summary:
Equal rights and gender discrimination have been made the cause for entry into Temples where custom calls on Women of a certain age to not enter the Temple. No such case is being taken up where in some Temples, Men are not allowed. Ancient Temples being centres of a variety of energy fields, decisions should be taken only with a proper understanding of the effect of such fields.
Gender oppression present in Indian culture plays a major role in society. This acts as a major barrier for women to accept the science behind why these restrictions came into practice.It is really enlightening that these restrictions were placed for protection rather than discrimination . In an ideal situation just as how Modern society has moved to creating awareness and leaving judgement individually to people to decide what is best for them widespread awareness need to be created on why these laws of nature are for general health benefit rather than for oppression .
