It is also noticed that when people are required to do something that takes self control, it is much less taxing on their willpower if they are able to feel that it is their own choice and that they are in control. A sense of agency, a sense of control, improves greatly the self-discipline they bring to the task. People want to be in control of their lives. If on the other hand they are doing so because of other compulsions even as they really don’t want to, it takes a lot more willpower. Willpower behaves like a muscle that gets tired as it is used. Hence, exercising willpower, by focusing on work throughout the day, exhausts your willpower and by end of the day is likely to leave your more tense, tired and irritable. Becoming aware of this, will enable you to better schedule your exercise period, and build up your willpower and use it discerningly to prevent the burn-out by the end of the day.
It is therefore essential that you be self motivated to really want to follow this regimen with the desire to improve your health, body shape, Wellness and your Life.
Eating Habit:
Stay, seated and chew more. If you are eating while standing, you are likely to eat faster and are far less likely to pay attention to, or really be aware of, and savour what you are eating. When you sit down to eat, you will not only be more aware of what you are eating, but will also eat slower and savour your food more. This can help you feel satisfied with less food overall, which can over time help with weight loss because you will be consuming fewer calories.
A 2008 study of Japanese adults published in The British Medical Journal discovered that eating quickly is associated with a higher risk of being over weight. Another study, also involving Japanese adults and published in 2013 in PLOS ONE, found that chewing more and eating more slowely can reduce the risk of diabetes.
Sitting and eating together with family and friends also creates, a sense of community and warmth which further enhances the pleasure of eating.
