We, in India, therefore, need to really understand how these Money Controllers of the West operate and seriously question their procedures, rules and standards and see if we can come up with better, more equitable, transparent, and simpler procedures for our Institutions and Research Centres that then make the objective ‘India first” and yet be equitable for all. The ‘Katha’ system of accounting of the ‘Marwaris’ and the systems of the ‘Chettiars’, the first people to introduce the ‘Double entry accounting system’ etc. Also, the inter-se valuation of currencies, the Patent Rules and the other rules and parameters seeking unfair advantages, all need to be properly reviewed and re-written.
We do not need behemoth Institutions and gigantic Trans-National Corporations, such as Black Rock, Vanguard, Google, Meta, and many extra large Banks and Financial institutions, that operate many levels away from the customers and are then claimed as too BIG to fail and their losses always made good from the public revenues. Such behemoths are encouraged by these money Controllers as they would be easier to control and are too big for even National Governments to deal with. We need smaller, more agile, and effective Institutions that are closer to their customers and have ‘Skin in the Game’, operating mainly at District, State level. India needs to expound the need for such reviews and take the lead in implementing them.
The growth story of China, supported as it was by the Western Countries, especially the USA from the mid 1970’s was recognized by these money controllers as a mistake. This became worrisome and hence they came up with the plan to try to limit the growth not only of China but of the other developing countries too, especially countries with large and young populations and great potential for growth, such as India, Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria.
I call on you to now think of one way by which they could not only unobtrusively and covertly do so for all such countries but also make such countries voluntarily accept such restrictions on growth. Let me give you some clues. Look at energy availability and its consumption for development and growth.
In 1977, the Newsweek Magazine published an article on a threat to civilization due to Global temperature changes. It was then speaking of the historic record of Global temperature cooling leading to ‘Snowball Earth’, a global freezing.
This article gave impetus to those able to show a contrary view, of Global warming and, the Money controllers found this the answer to the problem, especially as evidence began to be gathered that showed actual Global warming.
The true causes of such Global warming were not really identifiable but if enough money was given as Grants to such Scientists and Researches willing to link this to the increase of CarbondiOxide(CO2) in the atmosphere and further connect this to the use of fossil fuels while denying grants to those holding contrary views, then there could be a seemingly universal and justified call to cut the use of such fuels and thus greatly reduce the availability of per-capita Energy in the developing countries , restricting their growth and continuing to keep them as developing countries. The tactic used was to compare the carbon footprint on a Country-to Country basis (whatever be its population) rather than on the more equitable per capita basis. (See Table of Comparison below)
China had by now grown well past the ability of such money controllers to easily control, even so it too was called up-on to restrict its energy generation from fossil fuels. Human Rights, Trade sanctions and inter-se currency valuation were the additional factors brought into play in the case of China and also in the case of other developing countries as applicable. Also, Media manipulation to project distorted images of, Intolerance, Religious discrimination and persecution, and so-called failures of governance, thus encouraging disunity and disruptions. Such rating should be only done transparent and realistic ways by neutral bodies. We, in India, should set-up such Bodies.
