Recording measurements when starting the Programme and regularly as you continue, is necessary for tracking your progress and to maintain motivation.
Starting a body re-composition programme without measurements is like going on a trip without a plan, a destination or aim. You will definitely regret it later. Be consistent in using the same manner and using the same scales to measure as you progress, never compare before and after results from using different tools.

Health Profile Tests should include Lipid levels and also levels for essential vitamins and minerals.
- For those who seek athletic fitness levels – Percentage of body fat – (ideally use ‘Body Metrix’ – a hand held ultra sonic device that measures the exact thickness of fat wherever you place it) you may also use a bio-electrical impedance device but this would require you to be equally hydrated at each time, or you may go by the results at the same diagnostic You may also undergo a Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) test, which in addition to bone density also provides information on body fat and on muscular imbalances in different zones in your body and allows you to work on them to avoid injury or unnecessary stress during exercise.
