    1. Removing Gall stones naturally – As recommended by Dr. Lai Chui – Nan:

 

This treatment is good also for those with a week liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked. A liver cleanse also helps the gallbladder.

Keeping the gallbladder clean and functioning effectively, storing the bile from the liver and releasing as required to help in fat digestion and absorption of vitamins in the intestine.

A gallbladder blocked with gall stones can not only cause severe pain but also re-direct the bile from the liver into the pancreas causing inflammation and malfunction there.

Ingredients:

  • Apples / Apple juice (whole fruit is better and in case of juice do not filter the pulp)
  • Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulphate)
  • Olive or Sesame Oil
  • Fresh Lemon Juice

Whole apples has a strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and have an unusual polyphenol composition which helps regulate your blood sugar, has anti-asthma benefits, fat lowering effect and gives you a feeling of satiety with less caloric intake and a significant effect on good gut bacteria.

Preparation and Dosage:

For five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day. Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Eating the fruit is better. This softens the gallstones. During these five days, eat normally.

On the sixth day, take no dinner.

At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt with a glass of warm water. Magnesium Sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

At 8 PM, repeat the same.

At 10 PM, take half cup (about 125 ml) olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage.

  1. 1 cup is about 250 ml. 1/2 Cup lemon juice = Juice of about 3 lemons.

Even if you don’t have any symptoms of gall stones, you still might have some gall stones. Hence it is always good to give your gallbladder a cleansing now and then, say once every alternate month.

  1. Liver cleanse

As recommended by Dr. Piyush Saxena:

Liver, located just below our right ribcage, plays a crucial role in many essential functions of the body, such as producing bile that reduces the amount of fat in the body. It maintains our sugar, fat, and iron levels and is also involved in the production of proteins.

This is a more comprehensive cleanse that also works on the gallbladder and is more compatible with the Low-Carb Diet as it does not call for consumption of fruit. This cleansing helps against asthma and allergies and also to remove ‘stones’ in the bile ducts and thus improve digestion.

Long term severe diabetics and persons suffering from joint pains or cirrhosis of the liver should not undertake liver cleansing.

Ideally repeat liver cleansing once every six months.

Ingredients:

  • Extra virgin olive oil

250 ml for persons weighing above 70 kgs 175 ml for persons weighing less than 70 kgs 150 ml for persons weighing less than 55 kgs

  • Fresh orange or sweet lime or pineapple juice of equivalent quantity as above.
  • Epsom salt – 4 sachets of 20 gms each for those above 70 kg and of 15 gms each for those weighing less. Dissolve the Epsom salt preferably in 800 ml of water or juice for This makes 4 servings of 200 ml each. You may refrigerate this for palatability.

Preparation and Dosage:

Choose to do this on a Saturday (or a day before a holiday) so you can rest the next day.

Eat a light breakfast and a simple easy to digest lunch or just fast. You may take water with or without lemon juice as necessary.

At 1800 hrs (6.00 PM) Drink one glass of this mix. At 2000 hrs (8.00 PM) Drink second glass.

At 2145 hrs (9.45 PM) – Prepare a mixture of 175 ml of extra virgin oil 175 ml of any of the juices properly blended in a mixer for about 10 seconds and store.

At 2200 hrs (10.00 PM) – drink up this 175 ml of mixture. Immediately lie down on your right side with your head on a pillow for 30 minutes to exert pressure on the liver and bile ducts. After 30 mins you may change your sleeping posture as comfortable.

At 0600 hrs next days (6.00 AM) – Drink one glass of the Epsom salt mix.

At 0800 hrs (8.00 AM) – Drink the balance 175 ml of the extra virgin oil and fruit juice mix and go back to bed as on the previous night. Lie down for 30 mins on your right side.

At 10.00 hrs (10.00 AM) – Drink the final dose of Epsom salt mix.

After 1100 hrs (11.00 AM) – you may have a light meal.

You may change the schedule if your bed-time is earlier or later than 2200 hrs (10.00 PM), and even change the intervals by up to an hour either way as suits you.

Motions may start even with the first dose, and continues for a few hours after the final dose.

But the stones will come out only after the 3rd or 4th dose of Epsom salts.
