DEALING WITH NON-NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES – USA

USA has really never proven itself as a committed friend to India, However, in the past decade it has declared its recognition of India as a ‘Strategic Partner’.

Unfortunately, since, the commencement of the Trump – 2.O administration the USA, has dealt with India not as a friend but as a rising competitor, who needs to be shown its place.

Unable to get its way in ‘Trade Talks’ with India, especially with regard to:

  1. Dumping its Genetically Modified Agricultural products with their inherent ‘Terminator Gene’/ clause in their Agreement with Indian farmers purchasing their seeds to not use or sell the then ensuing seeds, ensuring that the Farmer has to keep purchasing the seed and their poisonous insecticide every time from the supplier Corporations.
  2. Also, Dairy products from cattle fed non-veg feed from animal waste, treated with steroids, anti- biotics and hormones for enhancing their growth and milk output and having A-1 protein in their milk, the result of a mutation in the European breeds of cows, which has adverse effects on humans. It may be noted that the that all other cows and even all other mammals, produce only A-2 protein milk. It should be noted that A-2 cow milk is sold at multiple times the cost of milk in Europe and in the USA.
  3. Their Fishery products are also treated with antibiotics and hormones..

India has over 45 percent of its populations in such activities, and is an exporter of such products and sees no advantage to its own Farmers, Dairymen and Fishery operators in allowing cheap and unsuitable products to be allowed into India and thus adversely affect its own people. The ill-effects of free import of Palm Oil are already been recognized. The USA and Canada are also pushing for India to allow the import of Canola Oil, which is yet to be properly assessed as being really suitable for human consumption.

Also, The USA is now being further induced by Pakistan’s offer to handover all of Baluchistan’s mineral resources to it, if it would prevent the breakaway of Baluchistan, and has reversed its ‘Strategic Partnership’ with India and is now again supporting Pakistan against India. India therefore needs to be firm in its stand in the ‘Trade – Talks’, supporting the interests of its own Farmers and Fishery and Dairy operators. India should also support the claim of Baluchistan to be recognized, as an independent Country by the UNO, as it had been militarily occupied by Pakistan. India should also support the freedom struggles of the other Provinces of Pakistan and recognize the Taliban Government of Afghanistan. The Pakistani Nuclear facilities at its Noor Khan air-base and at the underground facility at Kirana Hills, destroyed by Indian missile strikes during ‘OP-Sindoor’, are now suspected to have been US secret facilities and hence their destruction has also attracted the ire of the USA.

Perhaps India’s resistance and unyielding attitude to the USA’s continual threats of ever-increasing Tariffs and India’s growing influence with even other developed countries and also in the Global South, is further upsetting the USA’s attitudes towards India.

The USA’s perfidy needs to be shown for what it is and a firm stand taken against such attempts at bullying. The benefits of the ‘Manthan’ policy, of working together, could also be explained to them, especially as both India and the USA are vibrant Democracies, and hopefully the USA will recognize the benefits of such a ‘Manthan’ Policy.

DEALING WITH NON-NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES – JAPAN

Japan is a Special Case, as it has a very ancient cultural relationship with India, and across all these centuries has always maintained good relations with India. We must remember that Japan supported and encouraged Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, the first Prime Minister of Azad Hind, even if in exile, in his struggle for India’s freedom.

Japan recognizes the value of the cooperative / collaborative ‘Manthan’ policy and has shown its willingness to work with such an attitude. Today, with an aging population and a low birth rate, but with an unbeatable attitude towards technology and quality, Japan will find India a very suitable partner. Our shared cultural and spiritual values will also help increase people to people contacts. India’s young demographic profile and the willingness and determination of our youth to learn and strive to be the best will encourage them to work well with the Japanese.

We should invite the Japanese to increase their investments in India, not only in Bullet Trains, but in the Financial, Banking and Insurance sectors and to also set- up Universities, Research Centres, Skill development Centres, Medical Centres for both Traditional and Modern systems, Townships and even Education Institutions, even from Play school onwards to inculcate the right traditional Indian/Asian values.

DEALING WITH OTHER NON-NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES

Again, the cooperative / collaborative Manthan policy can be implemented with all these non-neighbouring countries too. Many of them, especially, in the South-Asia region, in the Indian ocean region, in the Caribbean region and some South-American countries, share a common cultural heritage with ancient India. African countries too share ancient cultural and trading relations with India and would welcome building on the concepts of ‘Ubuntu’ and of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

Also, proper recognition of each other’s Sovereignty and encouragement of mutual tourism, equitable policies of trade, inter-se currency valuation, visa and work permit issues, should be the way. (See- Inter-se valuation of Currency)
